Can you put a safe into a wall?

February 24, 2023

You’ve maybe heard of a wall safe. It’s pretty self explanatory, isn’t it? A safe that is in your wall! But, a more lucid question that many may ask and not know the answer to is, “Can you put any old home safe into a wall?” Let’s talk about it!

First, let’s answer the question of whether or not you can put any kind of safe in a wall. The answer is a definitive no. Well, not safely at least. You can’t put any normal home safe into your wall without the danger of it falling out, collapsing, or destroying something in your wall because it is too big or heavy. Normal safes just aren’t made to be put INSIDE a wall. It’s much too heavy and wide to be able to fit inside your wall. Not without messing SOMETHING up. However, there is a remedy to ALL of these problems!

There is something you can buy now and is actually LESS expensive than a standard safe! It’s called a wall safe. But it’s not just a safe in a wall like most people describe a “wall safe” as, it’s a lightweight and inexpensive safe that is MADE ENTIRELY to be put into your walls, thick or normal sized. Let’s talk about them and how  you can get one and put it into your wall.

What is a wall safe?

First, let’s talk about what a wall safe even IS so you know what you’re buying in the first place if you choose to buy one. A wall safe is a specially designed safe that can be installed into your wall. Wall safes offer a high level of security, as they are difficult to access and are often hidden from view. There are also a plethora of different kinds of locks you can buy with your wall safe, which increases the security a good amount.

As I said before, compared to a normal home safe, they are generally much lighter and smaller to be able to be installed into your wall without falling in or breaking your wall. However, wall safes can still be quite large and heavy, making them difficult to install without the help of a professional.

What kind of wall safes are there?

There are many different types of wall safes available on the market, each with its own set of features and benefits. When choosing a wall safe, it is important to consider how much space you have available, as well as the level of security you require. You should also think about what you will be storing in your safe, as this will affect the size and type of safe you need.

Biometric safe

If you are looking for a wall safe that offers a high level of security, then you may want to consider a biometric safe. Biometric safes use fingerprint recognition technology to allow only authorized users to access the safe. These safes are often used in commercial applications, such as in banks or other businesses where security is of the utmost importance. Biometric safes are on the more expensive side of the spectrum in the case of most wall safes, but for most it is a very worth it purchase  and add-on in the long run, as there is no way to open the safe WITHOUT your fingerprint.

Smaller safe

If you need a wall safe for personal use, then you may want to consider a smaller, more compact safe. These types of safes are often easier to install and can be hidden more easily. However, they may not offer the same level of security as a biometric safe. And because they are so much smaller, you will not be able to fit as many or as big of things as you could in a normal sized wall safe.

However, if you’re planning to not keep a lot in your personal wall safe, and it’s just a couple small things, then a smaller safe is the best way to go, as it is MUCH more inexpensive and easier to install and put into your wall.

When choosing a wall safe, it is important to shop around and compare different models. You should also make sure to read the reviews left by other customers before making your final purchase. This way, you can be sure that you are getting a safe that will meet your specific needs and requirements. You don’t want to buy a safe that can’t fit into your wall or looks funky when installed, so make sure to ALWAYS check the size and width when thinking of buying a wall safe to make sure it would even fit in your wall!

Why should I choose a wall safe over a normal home safe?

When it comes to safes, there are a few different types that you can choose from. One type is the wall safe. Another is a normal home safe. But why should you choose a wall safe over a normal safe? Here are a few reasons:

1. Wall safes are much more hidden. They are usually built into the wall itself, which makes them very difficult to spot. This means that they are less likely to be targeted by burglars or thieves.

2. Wall safes are usually harder to break into. This is because they are often made of thicker and stronger materials than normal safes. This makes them more resistant to break-ins andTemperature fluctuations will not affect the contents of your wall safe like they might if it were stored in a normal safe.

3. The contents of your wall safe will be better protected from fire. This is because most wall safes are made with fire-resistant materials. This means that your valuables will be better protected in the event of a fire.

4. Wall safes are typically more affordable than other types of safes. This is because they are often mass-produced, which makes them more affordable than bespoke safes.

5. Wall safes offer a greater level of security than other types of safes. This is because they are more difficult to break into and they are less likely to be targeted by burglars or thieves.

Overall, there are many reasons why you should choose a wall safe over a normal safe. They are more hidden, more difficult to break into, and offer a greater level of security for your valuables. If you are looking for a safe to store your valuables in, then a wall safe is definitely the way to go.

How do I install a wall safe?

Sadly, there isn’t a way to install a safe by yourself. At least, not without destroying something in your wall or doing it roughly and your safe doesn’t  fit perfectly. There are many tools out there that the normal person wouldn’t have that are required to install a wall safe, like a hand saw, studs, drills, and other things that you might not have on hand.

Thankfully there are tons of ways to find people that can professionally do it for you and do it well. You can find them online or there might be posters around your local area!

So there you have it! Now you know what a wall safe is, why it’s a much better choice than most other safes, and where you can find someone who can help you professionally install your wall safe! And remember though, a wall safe isn’t the right choice for everyone, but it is a very good option for a place to hide your valuable things in terms of safety, protection, and hiding potential.

And when you decide to buy a safe for yourself, you’ll know one of the best options for your safe needs!
